“Observe Nature, understand it, listen to it and together with it generate exciting experiences. An eco-friendly attitude in a charming setting, where modern and essential design comes into perfect balance with the surrounding landscape”.
The structure has been skilfully designed to minimise its impact on the environment, fitting into a vegetation rich in native trees and plants, such as olive trees, prickly pears, almond and orange trees.
A fascinating architectural project where detail makes the difference: glamorous in appearance and organic in essence. This is the reason for bioglam.
The origins of the name
ἐλαία, from ancient Greek olive: an elegant name, a sweet sound, a word with a timeless antique flavour.
Elegance. Sweetness. Refinement. A delicate pronunciation that refers to a sinuous femininity like the centuries-old olive tree that stands at the entrance to the estate and welcomes you to this enchanted place.
A tree that marks the history of Sicily so much so as to give it its name along with another plant equally representative of this land: the fig.
During the Byzantine period it was believed, in fact, that the name Sicily derived from the union of two Greek terms: siké (fig) and elaia (olive tree).
elaia, immediately the perfect name.
The land
The estate covers more than two hectares on the shore of a slope overlooking the sea of Sicily. It is located between Noto and Avola, in a quiet and secluded setting, with views of the hills and coastline of Syracuse.
The location is strategic because it allows you to enjoy a totally relaxing holiday outside the city and easily reach iconic places in south-eastern Sicily: from beaches in nature reserves such as Calamosche within the Vendicari Reserve and the Marchesa di Cassibile, to cities where the Sicilian Baroque is manifested in all its grandeur: Noto, Marzamemi, Modica, Ragusa, Scicli and Siracusa, all of which have been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status.
